Introducing The PFMP
For those of us that are credential junkies, PMI is constantly stringing us along. The latest addition to the PMI suite of certifications and credentials is the Portfolio Management Professional.
But don’t get too excited yet, as the requirements are significant for this “advanced” credential: seven years (10,500 hours) or four years (6,000 hours) of portfolio management experience, depending on your college history, and eight years of professional business experience.
As a member, the exam fees are $800, non-members are $1,000. Like the Program Management Professional credential, the PfMP also requires a panel review. The first pilot group has completed their exams and while PMI is currently accepting applications from new candidates, there has been no date published when the exams will resume. PMI has just stated Q2 2014.
Any bets on whether Belinda will be pursuing this one?
